You know those evenings when you feel like munching on something tasty? And what about the usual french fries? Not sure what to prepare? Here, the oven salted toasted almonds could be just that valid alternative you were looking for.
Cooking them in the oven makes them crunchy, and the smell that spreads in the kitchen is reminiscent of hot popcorn just sautéed.
Every time I prepare them, my husband, who doesn’t particularly love almonds, brushes the whole bowl by himself … luckily in our house a bag of almonds is never missing ..
So get the recipe and prepare them …
Preparation: oven salted toasted almonds
First we turn on the oven at 180° in static mode and let it heat up well.
Pour the almonds into a bowl and add a tablespoon of extravirgin olive oil.
Mix it well until they are completely well oiled.
Let’s put it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper .
Bake it for 10-12 minutes.
After this time the almonds will have turned a golden brown color, and some will have cracked on the surface.
Let’s pull them out of the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes.
Then pour them back into the bowl, from which we will have removed the oil left inside, salt to taste and mix.
Once they have cooled completely, the almonds will become crunchy.
At this point we can serve them, perhaps as an accompaniment to aperitifs .
Anna’s advice:
If you use more almonds than indicated in the recipe, do not immediately assume that you have to increase the dose of the oil as well.
Always use a tablespoon of oil initially, only if it seems to you that the almonds are not completely covered, add more gradually.
