An economical and tasty second course

Baked chicken wings with potatoes are a tasty and inexpensive second course .

The recipe is simple to make but requires a little patience, because it is necessary to flavor the chicken in the marinade.

The ideal would be to leave the fins in the fridge with the condiments for several hours before putting them in the oven, but if we don’t have much time available, a couple of hours’ rest will still guarantee a good result.

This is one of those recipes that is always a great success in the family, I usually serve it with a double portion of potatoes; who knows why nothing ever advances! čśŐ

How to make baked chicken wings with potatoes

We take the fins and remove any residual feathers; then rinse and dry them.

Place them in a large container, so that they do not overlap, and leave them aside for a moment while we prepare the marinade.

Squeeze the lemons, pour them into a bowl, add a tablespoon of oil, a sprinkle of pepper, a pinch of salt, paprika, a few drops of Tabasco, chopped garlic, and rosemary.

Once this is done, mix well.

Pour the liquid over the fins, cover them and then put them in the fridge for at least an hour.

After this time, turn the wings so that the upper part of the chicken is also flavored with the marinade that will have settled on the bottom of the container.

Let’s put them in the fridge for at least another hour.

let’s prepare the potatoes:

15-20 minutes before putting the wings in cooking we begin to prepare the potatoes.

Let’s wash them, peel them and tear them up. Let’s boil them for 5 minutes in a pot with boiling water.

Drain them well, dry them with kitchen paper and let them cool.

Pour them into a bowl and season them with oil, pepper, rosemary, salt and chopped garlic.

We mix everything and place them in a pan lined with parchment paper.

Let’s distribute them well, so they don’t overlap.

Now we also place the wings, without the liquid, on another baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

We put on some rosemary.

We turn on the oven at 200┬░ ventilated and let it heat up well.

Bake the wings and the potatoes for about 35-40 minutes.

We turn the wings halfway through cooking.

At the end the wings and the potatoes should be golden brown.

Once the potatoes are cooked, season with salt.

Baked chicken wings with potatoes

Baked chicken wings with potatoes Paolone’s advice:

In the marinade we can replace the Tabasco with a little chilli powder.

To have crunchy potatoes we choose a not very floury variety, those with yellow flesh or red skin are excellent.

By following the cooking method indicated in this recipe, we will have potatoes that are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

However, if we want to avoid double cooking, after having peeled and cut them, immerse them in cold water for 30 minutes.

We will then have to drain and dry them well with a soft cloth, then season them and put them in the oven.
