The cheese puff pastry breadsticks are the perfect finger food to accompany our aperitifs.
Maybe we can serve them together with a platter of cold cuts and lots of vegetables in oil.
They are quick and easy to prepare, especially if we buy ready-made rectangular puff pastry.
Just roll out the puff pastry roll , brush it with egg and sprinkle it with grated cheese and paprika.
Then, once the strips have been cut, we will give them the classic spiral shape.
In short, with a few steps we will obtain crunchy and tasty cheese sticks.
At this point, however, we must also start thinking about the appetizer .

How to prepare Cheese puff pastry breadsticks:
Gently unroll the puff pastry roll on the work surface.
Shell the egg and separate the white from the yolk, add a spoonful of milk to the latter and beat it with a fork.
Brush the dough with the egg yolk and milk mix evenly.
Mix the cheeses with the paprika in a bowl and sprinkle them on the puff pastry to cover it completely.
We lay the parchment paper over the pastry and press lightly to make the cheese stick to the dough.
Let the pastry rest in the freezer for about 20 minutes.
After this time, cut the pasta into regular strips about 2 cm wide.
Holding the strips by the two ends, let’s roll them up to obtain a helix shape.
We lightly squeeze the tips so that they do not open during cooking.
Arrange them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake at 200 ° for about 15 minutes or in any case until the breadsticks are golden and crispy.
Let’s take them out of the oven and let them cool before serving.
We can replace paprika with fresh aromatic herbs such as thyme.
Like all puff pastry products, it would be better to consume them within the day to prevent them from losing their fragrance.
